Metallic Taste

Hi Everyone,

I am 3 weeks post op. As of late I have a metallic taste in my mouth.

It's not all day but when I get it stays around for a while.

Has anyone experienced this?

@@canes2015 the metallic taste is a side effect of ketosis due from a low carb diet. It subsides in time. In the mean time you can brush your teeth more often or swish with breath wash.

Say it with me everyone "KETOSIS"!!!!!!!

Are you thirsty? Do you smell bad to others? Does your pee have a strong odor? And does your mouth taste like nail polish remover?

You can thank KETOSIS. It's the body dumping acetoacetate AKA acetone, the active ingredient in nail polish remover.

Don't worry, it doesn't last forever.
