Irritated pouch or something else?

Hello all. I am almost 4 weeks post op. Yesterday I ate some pureed chicken that didn't agree with my pouch. The tight, painful feeling lasted about 30 minutes but since then my esophagus and pouch seem irritated. ... I can feel every sip of water that I take and it sits in my pouch like a lead balloon and then it passes. I'm hesitant to try anything other than liquids. My first post op with the doc is on Thursday. Your thoughts? :)

I get that feeling of tight and painful if I have eaten too much or too fast. Even now, 7 months post op.

You probably did irritate your pouch given you are only 4 weeks post op and not completely healed yet. The feeling you describe sounds pretty normal.

You might think about staying on liquids for a day and give the irritation a chance to go away.

If it gets worse or doesn't go away after a day or two check in with your doctor.
