Memorial Tattoo....

Recommended Posts

Just got my brother's tattoo finished. It's taken almost 3 years, but I've finally reached a point where I can Celebrate his life rather than mourn my loss. He was an amazing, talented musician and I still miss him everyday.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I bet he is looking down right now and smiling with pride for you.

That's lovely, @Kindle. I'm sorry for your loss but glad that you've reached a point where you can Celebrate him.

I'm also echoing above. When you can smile and laugh about a loved ones life, instead of focusing on grief, you have taken a big step.

The tribute tattoo has very nice color and looks well done????

Grieving sure takes awhile for me personally ...

I'm in the still missing phase but have committed to a hospice grief support group starting in 2 weeks. There is hope.

Thank you kindle. Very moving words❤️

I wrote the quote in my journal I've kept since my beloved husband passed 11 months ago.

It is poignant about not a place to stay. Sigh

I believe it is an honor to be grieved... Someone truly loved and cared.

i'm so sorry Julie, you are struggling with so much. But good for you in seeking help. I spent over a year so miserable and depressed I didn't even WANT to feel better. I didn't want help. My grief was all I had and I didn't want to let it go. Then, somehow, I gradually crawled out of my despair. There are still times when his loss feels just as fresh as the day he died, but like the quote, I found that grief eventually changes into something we can bare to live with. It doesn't mean we don't still miss them and that we don't still love them, it just means we've learned somehow to accept it and continue to live our lives without them. Being happy is not a betrayal of their memory....that was a hard one for me to figure out.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
