Welcome Carie and congrats on your surgery date! I wish I would have been able to do this when I was 23...good for you!

Surgery went smooth, after surgery very smooth, I had some liquid that was forming under my port incision, not a problem. At times I wonder if he remembered to put the band in because I have has such an easy recovery. I can't wait for my first fill (July 2).

Where are you having your surgery done? How do you feel about it? I was sooo excited and now I am ready to move on to the next phase.

This site is amazing, I found sooo much support and understanding here, I hope to see your posts around!

Hey Carie I am 20 y/o and was banded on 11/3/06 and weighed 250lbs, 7 mos later I am down 55lbs and have never felt better. I wish you the best of luck with all of it. Let me know how everything goes.

Carie, you'll make your goal!! Congrats on having the maturity and foresight to get this done while you're young! Best of luck with your surgery.

Mal, I had my surgery on May 2 and I go for my first fill this Friday and I AM READY...you put it exactly the way I feel...to move on to the next phase!!
