8 days post op... Scared cause I threw up

I have been doing great, moved on to full liquids today. I thought a tablespoon of peanut butter would be OK.... Wrong. It made me so nauseated, and I threw up bout an hour later . I'm scared cause I threw up, would that damage my stomach?? It is sore now

A lot of people throw up after the surgery. You should be fine. Just give it a while before you try Peanut Butter again and make sure you are taking very small bites.

Yeah, it's normal to feel sore after vomiting, especially within the first month. I would use ice packs to help sooth the pain. You have to remember. 80% of your stomach was removed. And you have tons of stitches in your nw tummy and @ your incision sites.

As long as you aren't repeatedly throwing up you should be fine. Just be extra gentle with your tummy until it stops hurting. Sometimes reintroducing foods back in takes a while. It may not like it now, but a month from now be okay with it.
