Pre-Op Sensitivity to Smells?

Hi, I'm pre-op (surgery scheduled for April 28th) and have been on a pre-pre-op diet :), (Glucerna shakes for Breakfast and lunch, with a small meal for dinner). I've noticed over the last week or so, that my sense of smell seems much more sensitive. Much like when I was pregnant except I'm not really nauseated by the smells, I just notice them much more.

Has anyone else experienced this pre-op? I'm just wondering if it will be even more pronounced post-op.

I did not experience any change in smells. I did notice a significant change in my taste buds after surgery.

I'm 6 days post op and have extremely sensitive smell. Not nauseous from it, but I will leave a room real quick. Didn't experience it pre op.

I started my liquid diet yesterday. Whatever I'm smelling is disguating. Maybe it's my body going into ketosys, not sure. However, my mom was cooking for Easter thus morning abd smell of egg about made me sick. I'm extremely sensitive to smell anyway.
