My surgery is coming up quick and I am a little confused on what vitamins I should be getting and when can I start taking them? If it's liquids for the 1st wk or so wouldn't vitamins be to harsh for new sleeve? Thank you!

I was told no pills for 8 weeks after the surgery. None. So I used liquid and chewables (chew them REALLY well!). There are also dissovables, and if you can't find them locally, go online - amazon.com carries a lot. Your surgical team can tell you which ones you will need, and remember, this is a lifelong relationship with your vitamins!

I was allowed to swallow normal vitamin-sized pills at 7 days post-op. I was allowed to keep taking my tiny birth control pills straight through my surgery date. Ask your surgeon's office. This is the sort of question where you will get different answers from different surgeons and you should follow YOUR specific directions.
