Feeling disappointed

Hi All,

I am 2 weeks post op and have to be on purees and protein shakes until 3 weeks post-op. I have found lately that I can take in a lot more food then before and the purees really don't fill me up as much. Also I'm constantly hungry, although not sure if it's just from my head. Anyway the good news I have lost about 11 lbs since the surgery. I don't want to mess with the progress and I'm really worried that maybe the surgery just didn't work for me :(. Can anyone advise on my situation or has faced something similar? Thanks

You won't feel satiated until you go back to solids. Purees and liquids don't give you the same feeling of fullness. Hang in there. It does get better and you will be successful!

Check to see whether an antacid helps you. I thought I was having hunger pangs that actually turned out to be acid reflux issues. Now I take over the counter prilosec and voila, hunger gone!
