Yes and things went great. I was put on Lovenox pre surgery, taken off of the Coumadin. Maintained the shots for a week post surgery and transitioned back to Coumadin.

I am on Plavix. 5 days pre surgery I injected Lovenox. Post surgery I went back on the Plavix. Just make sure your surgeon is aware what you are taking so that they can plan accordingly how to adjust your meds.

I have never been prescribed any before but will be on Lovenox shots for 7 days after surgery.

I just talked to my Protime Nurse about the 10 day Lovenox bridge my surgeon wants me to do for surgery. I am on Coumadin because of Factor V Leidens (I overclot) with history of a blood clot to my heart. She said my cardiologist will say no. He has cleared me for surgery but doesn't want me on Lovenox that long and off of Coumadin. I think I am going to have to arrange them doing a little confab.
