  1. Dr. Rajan Chahal at Newton Wellesley...and I love the support groups they offer each week!
  2. Have you mentioned it at any follow-up appointments? I would discuss with a doctor.
  3. "People respond far better to being cut out of your life than they do to being called out." LOVE IT!
  4. I complained about a stall last week. I'm not at 3 weeks yet so I was panicky. Sorry if that annoyed some veterans on here. NSV....went "clothes shopping" in my closet today...3 hours later I have 76 pieces of clothing to bring to the clothing exchange my weight loss center is holding in 2 weeks! Stuff that is in very good shape and I am really hoping other people will enjoy (tough to let go of some of those things!) I also have 4 "new" pairs of pants that are 2 sizes down from where I began and a TON of new tops. I am a bit of a shopaholic and have purchased many, many things that will "fit me someday"....well, someday is here!! They may not last me for long (hopefully they won't) but I feel good about how I will look tomorrow. That's not a frequent thing so it feels even better!
  5. It just seems very early for a stall. *Stepping away from the scale* Thanks
  6. Hi all, I had surgery on 3/17 and lost right away, as expected (I believe)....... but I have not lost even 0.1 since 3/27. I am on a blended/pureed diet for the first 30 days post surgery. 6, 2 oz meals per day.....yogurt, refried Beans, Protein shakes, etc. Nothing solid. I am walking about 2 miles per day and get b/w 50-64 oz Water per day (Doc says minimum of 32.) Anyone else stall THIS early? I'm feeling so anxious about it it's making me crazy.
  7. I have not but they sound FABULOUS! May have to get the sample pack.
  8. No, it;s the same thing...Fleet (I believe) is just a brand. The magnesium citrate will go through you as if you were prepping for a colonoscopy. BE CAREFUL taking that and don't plan to leave the house/bathroom for quite a few hours if you do take it!
  9. AMAZINGLY judgmental, no matter how you try to rationalize your comments. You are not the only one who has worked hard. Good luck to you and curious to hear how you feel on the other side.
  10. Very inspiring...thank you and congrats!!!
  11. I was sleeved on 3/17 and NO WAY can I have solid foods yet...and I was told not to cheat/screw around as it could damage the healing process. Your statements scare me... I have also been very lucky.....no pain, no head hunger, on pureed foods and not feeling deprived at all.....very strange but very happy about it!
  12. It is scary but from everything I hear and read, it is worth it! I am 72 hours out...yikes! Surgery is Tuesday a.m. I am also in MA...metro-west area.....Where are you having your surgery, if I may ask?
  13. I am also on the 17th and completely agree with this post! :-)
  14. And I meant to say......I have only told 4 people and no one from work will be told. If anyone asks my plan is to honestly say that I am moving more and eating less. I am 7 days out....surgery is 3/17...I've got the luck of St. Patrick going in with me....hahaha.
  15. Shorty, who is your surgeon? My surgeon uses that exact comparison! :-)
  16. I have never been prescribed any before but will be on Lovenox shots for 7 days after surgery.
  17. What did your doctor tell you to do? Wait 6 more days? Then why not wait 6 more days?
  18. Grateful_Love said "everyone has an opinion and I get a little sassy when I feel challenged or judged and I don't want to ruin relationships with my coworkers defending myself." I totally agree with this!! I respond the same way (just a bit defensive, huh?) LOL and won't be telling anyone I work with about this.
  19. To all of you who posted...CONGRATS, you all look fabulous!!!! Thanks for sharing and inspiring!!
  20. Hey Mikmak...same height and weight and my surgery is on 3/17....good luck to you!
  21. Thank you all so much for responding and letting me know that I am not losing my mind!! Off to search the otehr post..... thanks!
  22. Hi all, I got my surgery date of 3/17 last week and I have been having such a hard time ever since; eating like the there's no tomorrow and rarely exercising. Self-sabotage? Nerves? Both? Did/does anyone else have this reaction at first? I'm really trying to get back on track today.
  23. I'm the 17th as well!
  24. Keep us posted.....sending good vibes!
