4 month post op blood work results

so I got my results yesterday from dr.b12 low so I have to do shots for weeks 1x a week.iron little low.i did expect that since I don't eat red meat often.sugar a tad high, which surprised me since I don't have sugar in anything except for veggies.which isn't much anyway.last year cholastrol was high now its normal.last year vitamin d was very low now its normal.dr explained that because of the small portions of food that I eat I might tend to stay on the lower end of the scale.i also take multi vitamins, calcium with and an extra 5000 d everyday.

Interesting.....were you taking b12 prior to this? How did these findings compare to before surgery!

never had a b12 problem.last year was the first time my d was low.ive been researching causes of b12 defincey and its saying it could be caused by the acid reducer I take.b12 isn't able to be absorbed when you take protonix ,prilosec, zantac, etc.but ive always taken something for heartburn in the past!!dr said it could be beause of the small amounts of food that I eat.tiny portions, skinny body!!I"ll take the shots for the skinny!!!
