March 16 surgery

I'm super excited after so long finally my day it's coming. Today I have my preop appt. Surgery on march 16th I have to say 2 nights at the hospital. Start liquid/ shake diet on Monday. I went to GNC to get all my shakes, and vitamins. I'll try this lean 25 gr of protein. I'm soooo happy I'm almost there. I start my process on May 1 2014. And I almost give up couple months ago. Who else on march? Any Italians living in US?

My doctor has you follow a two week high protein, lower carb and fat diet for two weeks prior to surgery to shrink your liver and make it easier to work laparoscopically. It is supposed to lessen the risk for complications and the need to go to an open procedure. the diet has between 70-85 grams of protein per day and less than 1000 calories.

awesome for you!!!!!!!!!!!! I am March 23rd and yes been waiting forever it feels like

I had my surgery yesterday, it was a very long day ', time of surgery delayed. Took forever to get a room. Tonight day 2 looks like I'm turning for a good point. This is a major surgery very painful. I been walking a lot and gas strips help.

Hope you're doing well foodfighter78! I had mine on the 16th and while this liquid diet is not fun, I know it will be worth it in the long run!
