Tomorrow is the Day

Tomorrow is the big day. Of course I picked a surgery date that involves winter weather, which in the South is disastrous. But luckily it will not start until after I am in the hospital and thru with Surgery. Its been almost a year process to get here due to what my insurance required and some work issues that had to be handled before I felt ready and could concentrate me. My physicians office "plan" has over prepared me for almost everything. Its so comprehensive and I feel sorry for some bariatric patients that I come into contact with. I'l like "they didn't tell you about that". I work in health care and are notoriously bad patients, but the nerves have passed and I'm ready for the next chapter in my life, I plan on waking up from the surgery already on the path to the new me.

congrats and good luck!!!

Mine is tomorrow too! I'm all nerves. Never had a surgery before of any kind, not even wisdom teeth. I'd say I have butterflies, but i've been on liquids for two weeks so I can attest there's nothing in my tummy at all LOL. We will both be on our way to being healthy soon... life is good :) My mom had an RNY last monday, and she is doing fabulously. She's been walking and enjoying her time off since day 3. The only crying she's done is tears of joy!

Best of luck to you! Keep us posted how it goes when you can :)

How ya doin Rodney? My surgery went well, no complications. Doc said it couldn't have gone better. Sleeping s lot because of the pain meds but really not felling all that bad! Did 3 laps of the hospital floor already ???? I hope your recovery is going smoothly too

Surgery went well MD said it could not have went much better. Got home around 4 yesterday afternoon. Was really sleepy yesterday, but today I've been able to stay awake. Got all my protein in and even walked on the treadmill for awhile. Glad to hear you have done well also.
