port relocation

:help: anyone who can tell me about having a port in a bikini area. I've had mine on my strernum for3 years now and it has been bodering me ever since. I am thinking of having it relocated to the bikini area. Does anyone have it there, please write about your exoerience. Even though I lost 100 lbs (in 2 years) I still wear "D" underwire bra and it goes right into my port. It is unconfortable and sometimes painful. Is it the same way if it's down there, and what do they attach it to?

Hi Eileen,

I can't help you with that question, but did you ask the doctor if he would do that procedure? I can see where if it's bothering you because of your bra, that something might be done. Maybe someone here has had a similar problem, not because of the bikini issue, but because of the bra issue.

I have heard of having a smaller port, but never of having one relocated to the bikini area. I will be interested to see what kind of responses you get to this.
