Looking for pre-op friends in FL.

I am almost there, I have to have a sleep study done then a wellness assessment at the hospital. Anyone else in my area in the same boat?

Where in Florida are you? I'm in Miami/Aventura. I'm hopefully getting a revision from band to either VSG or RNY (probably RNY), but I'm still trying to find a good surgeon.

Hi I'm in Miami as well I live by liberty city my doctor is in hialeah

I just finished my six months of doctor supervised dieting, and am now in the middle of the medical record nightmare. Hang in there, friend. I had sleep apnea, too! Thank the gawdess there's nobody who hears me snore other than my cat!

Great to meet y'all, I get to meet Dr. Murr next week. I am beyond excited. All my tests are done and I've attended all required meetings. Hoping he will be quick with a date.

I'm kind of confused on how serious I should be with the weight loss 6 months before... only because I was told that if you lose too much that you will be denied. But also scared because I was told the insurance company doesn't want to see any gain also. Skc72, did you have any required medical weight loss for insurance?

I was picked for a pilot program at my work, so I am one of the lucky ones that did not have to do the 6 months of food and diet stuff. All I have had to do is provide the dr.s office with my records and do all the required tests. I know that if I had to do the 6 months of supervised diet that I would have lost some but not enough to be denied. I have a hard time losing when I'm doing everything right.
