Air bubbles/Gas? Pre-op liquid diet

Okay I'm on day 4 of my pre-op liquid only diet with 3 Protein shakes daily for meals. Surgery is Wednesday... Yeah!

Anyhow, I have these horrible rumblings in my stomach all the time. Like gas bubbles but I dont have an excess of burbs or flatuance.

Anyone else have this? Is it gas or what? Had it since day 1 - every day is a little worse?

I see that you are from Pittsburgh. I am from Washington. I am just in the very beginning stages. I go to the seminar at West Penn Hospital on February 2.

I have weird stomach rumbles when I drink certain Protein drinks but not others. For instance: carnation instant Breakfast (sugar free chocolate) makes my stomach so noisy. It doesn't hurt or anything, mild discomfort but no physical pain. Mostly, my issue with them is that my stomach really gurgles really loud out of nowhere sometimes lol..so I've tried others and some I've found don't do that at all.

I think it might be partly bc of soluble Fiber and maybe partly because of the sugar free sweetener. Sometimes I used to get diahreah (tmi sorry) when I would eat my grammas Sugar Free Chocolates.

Maybe something similar?
