I'm Central Coast-ish, but I don't think I've seen any Sydneysiders here, surprisingly. Surely there would be some!

I am from Sydney - surgery was 17 December :)

I'm from South-west Sydney. I'm pre-op, not having surgery until late October/ early November, needing to wait for my 12 month waiting period with my health insurance to be up. Any advice from anyone been through or going through surgery would be great! Glad to find some Aussies here!

Yep I'm from Sydney's northern beaches. Not sleeved yet, going to first appointments with the surgeon and dietician in just over a week.

Hello, I'm from Sydney's eastern suburbs, I am seeing the doctor and dietician on 7th April. Very nervous & excited. So glad there are a few Aussies here.

If your appointments are anything like mine, it will pretty much be a non event! The dietitian one was very straightforward and I didn't learn anything I didn't already know, and the surgeon one was over in five minutes, and I walked out with a date. So easy.

I hope mine is just as simple. I have written my list of questions already and would be over the moon if I can also walk out with a date. Just want it to be quick so I don't dwell on it and start doubting my decision.

Hi, I had the band, Sleeve and in a few weeks Omega Loop, also had excess skin cut off.

Any questions, ask away, hope I can share my experiences.

What's the omega loop? Is it another form of gastric bypass?
