Did anyone have issues with high blood pressure before surgery? I can't seem to get my controlled so my doctor gave me higher dose. I seem to get nervous when I'm getting my blood pressure taken. I hope it goes down

I had high blood pressure before surgery (as high as 160 with meds) and in the hospital right after surgery (because of anesthesia, I was told) but by the time I went home I was cured. At all my other appointments my blood pressure has been excellent. Hurray, no more tiny pills twice a day for me.

I even checked the blood pressure again to be sure. Nope, I am cured! It was just like a switch turned off. Freaking unbelievable. I have the same blood pressure I had when I was 20 years old.

Really? You were still able to have surgery with your bp being high? How did you know your bp was going up. I had to get a higher dose cause my bp wasn't going down. I'm praying the more I lose weight and after surgery it goes down. I'm tired of feeling tired

Hi I had high blood pressed, I was a diabetic type 2 and high chloysetrial , the surgery saved my life, after two days after surgery I was taken off all meds and I'm doing great without them good luck just remember to exercise as much as possible and watch your carb and sugar intake .

That's awesome Cupcake! My surgery was approved today! I'm doing everything to lower my bp n sugar n so far blood sugar is good. BP still Lil high.

Just got surgery approval call today. Start diet tomorrow. Surgery set for 2-12-14. Hope I'm home by 14th. That's the date my lil brother died.
