December 30, 201411 yr If you click the drop down menu under Forums and highlight Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forum, you'll see Gastric Sleeve support groups.... then under go to Local support groups...there they have lots of people talking by where they live. I found a lot of people from Washington (where I live) You can probably find Bay area folks too
January 11, 201511 yr My husband would like to get training to be a mentor. He had the gastric sleeve in September. Since December 2013, he has lost 100 lbs. He has another 100 to go. Do you know where or how to get training, we live in the Sacramento area.

I find it absolutely unacceptable that there is only ONE WLS SUPPORT GROUP in the area, and it's on a Tuesday morning in Concord- not really great for people that are employed!! I have a private meeting space in a public building that we could use for free to meet- I just need some peeps! I have had a lot of trouble locating "bay area" support groups on this website. Also, the Bay Area is HUGE and we probably need separate EB, NB, SB, and SF groups. Please send me a message if anyone is interested in getting something going. Even just 2 people can get together for exercise, support, shopping, whatever! It would be so amazing to have a friend/person who understands! And who doesn't need every single thing about your new lifestyle explained... I can organize/host in WC.

January 26, 201511 yr I'm training for a 10k walk and usually do walks every weekend. I'd love to get together with people and walk. I'm not the fastest person but I can go miles and miles.

March 26, 201511 yr Hi All I'm in Oakland. Had done major regain after 2 hip surgeries. Having a hard time getting my mind in the right direction to get back to the basics. I do have a support group I could go to but I'm too embarrassed.
