Back brace

Just a little advice for those of us who had hernia repair. My back started hurting really badly. I think it is because I stand all night at work, so I was used to sucking in my stomach and using those muscles. Well, with the repair, I am not able to use those muscles as efficiently. I bought one of those ace back braces and wore it yesterday. What a big difference! It held my tummy in and supported my back so well. Just thought I'd put this out there for those that have this problem. I can't believe the difference it made for me.

Which type of hernia do you have? I have a ventral and have used the supporting brace in the past. My surgery isn't till like March/April.
