Hi, I am Stephie, I was banded on 03/06/07. I had my first fill 04/24/07, 1.2 cc's and 2nd fill on 05/10/07, .4 cc's. I still get hungry and I can still eat more than I think I should be eating. My question is, should I be only eating about 4 ounces or less and be full once I have reached my sweet spot?

My docs rule of thumb is that after we reach our sweet spot we should only be eating 1/2 to 1 cup of food 3 times per day........

I have not had a fill yet so I can eat A LOT MORE!

Good luck!

I didn't hit my sweet spot until fill #3. I really struggled and felt guilty until then. And then....after the 3rd fill, all of a sudden it wasn't a struggle anymore. don't wait, if you think you might need more fill!

What is the sweet spot?

I agree.. It took me several fills to get it right.. the last fill was 6 wks ago-- lost 9lbs.. it was really slow before.. averaging 4 lbs /month..

I had the doc do an esophogram to measure the opening.. sure enough, too large, to they increased me to 3.5cc's

Yes! When you hit your sweet spot you will be lucky to get down 2 oz of Protein at once. 4 oz is way too mucy at one sitting. Go in for a fill until you can only eat 1/2 cup of food. That is a good gauge to see if you are filled to the right level.

Not for me! 4 ounces is just right for me. Everybody's different. I figure I'm at my sweet spot when I lose a pound or 2 a week.....

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
