help?

Anyone here 5'6" and starting weight 220 lbs? I am asking cause i am about to start the process but people keep telling me that i just need to diet and exercise but they have no idea what i have been through and its not that easy. I was told i didnt weigh enough to have surgery just diet and exercise. Has anyone gone through this and how did you handle it, cause my mind is made up about the surgery.

I'm 5'5 and my weigh in was 210 at the surgeons office. And when I got the sleeve 12/10/14, I weighed in at 208.9. I far as I know. You need to be 210lbs. That's because you BMI has to a certain #. I can't remember what it is. Hopefully someone else can elaborate that question. So are these people that are telling you don't need surgery are your friends/family? I can't see the Bariatric physician telling you that. I wish you luck though! Have you went to the seminar yet? That classe answers ALOT of questions.
