  1. @Inemons36 Congrats on you surgery! Hang in their. It's a progress. Sounds like your on the right path ????
  2. Surgery went great. I checked in at 9:15. But my surgeon was running behind on his 1st surgery. Surgery was @2:15pm. Took me 4hrs to wake completely up. My family and friends were waiting for me ☺️ I was extremely loopy feeling. Everyone said I just kept mumbling. The nurse asked me if I wanted to walk. So I walked 10x's around the nurses station. I did have a lot pain after surgery. And nurses were on point with meds. NO GAS PX AT ALL! My BP was a bit high, pain/aching in my abdomen. Otherwise I'm ok. Still sleepy though. I was d/c the following day 2pm. The surgeon was laughing because I was sitting with my legs crossed Indian style lol He kept saying you look so refreshed. And no problem sipping water either. I feel so blessed of my sleeved outcome.
  3. @hmitchell Agree! Make it positive. You can only hope/pray it will. And don't get me wrong. The 1st 48hrs is an experience. But mine was much more bearable.
  4. @@klock Good luck on your surgery! Such a fun/excited/nervous time. I really became at peace with the surgery about 4 days before. And I had to stop reading some of these... Idk if they were a bit dramatic posts about surgery. But they just weren't healthy for me to read. I'm glad I could make you feel a bit at ease ????
  5. CAN WE EAT PUDDING AT 4 DAYS POST OP? (SILLY QUESTION. BUT I'D RATHER BE SAFE THAN SORRY)
  6. Shari71

    Apple

I'm only 5days post op. When can you start eating fruit?
  7. @@Forsythia Yep. That's my issue also. No appetite. But today I was feeling really shaky. I got in 48oz fluids yesterday. But today it's hard! And on top of all of that I decided to do a bit of shopping. Not a good idea at all needless to say. I've never seen Protein pudding at GNC. Been there several times lol lol Will definitely pick up a pack tomorrow for sure ???? Thanks ????
  8. You ladies are truly informative! Thanks again ????
  9. 1 MORE QUESTION LADIES. Did you worry about how much protein intake you were getting in week 1. Or did you concentrate on just getting in your water intake? Stage 2 is Liquids and Puréed solids. Which starts this Thurs. Has normal protein intake. Can't wait to eat oatmeal. Even if it's only 1 tablespoon. Writing that sounds funny. Guess it's the small portions of real food that get us excited right??? ????????
  10. Thanks girls! Yes I'm on Stage 1 All liquid diet. But I don't see anything bedsides Jello and popsicles. But it says: If you have reached your 480z. (Which I have). Then you can move to Almond milk, 1% milk, Kefir drinkable yogurt or blenderized low fat soups(chicken noodle/puréed). Yes. I'll call my surgeons office 2morrow morning for sure regarding the pudding.

We'll I also bought Gas stripes. Waste of money! Those things are expensive.
  14. I just had surgery Wed, 12/10/14. I've lost 6lbs. I'm able to drink 32oz so far.

    Just had surgery 12/10.

I also had surgery 12/10/14 Gastric sleeve and Hiatal hernia. I basically slept for hours. The nurse was still giving my pain meds every 4hrs though. When I finally woke up @ 2am. I walked 10x's. Then went pack to sleep. No gas PX at all thank goodness! I stayed in the hospital less than 24hr. I woke up the next morning ready to go home.
  16. I haven't noticed yet. I'm 2 days post op. I don't return back to until 12/22. I work at the hospital. And I've told myself. There's no longer is a reason for me to adventure up to the cafeteria. I did fix my daughter Tuna fish salad for dinner. I just had to block out the smell ????

    help?

I'm 5'5 and my weigh in was 210 at the surgeons office. And when I got the sleeve 12/10/14, I weighed in at 208.9. I far as I know. You need to be 210lbs. That's because you BMI has to a certain #. I can't remember what it is. Hopefully someone else can elaborate that question. So are these people that are telling you don't need surgery are your friends/family? I can't see the Bariatric physician telling you that. I wish you luck though! Have you went to the seminar yet? That classe answers ALOT of questions.
  18. Yea so many people that shared their stories. Seemed to have big issues/gas/nausea etc. There's still pain in my tummy. Yesterday I had to take the liquid hydrocodon. And this morning I took a oxycodon. I'm just listening to my body. If achy then I just lay down. And last night I felt better. I went on a short walk.
  19. Thank you so much ladies! I'll touch base sometime tomorrow ☺️
  20. Well tomorrow is surgery and I'm more calmer than I've been for a month n a half. Check-in time is 9:15am. Honestly I'm just ready. What's so weird today is. I've barely eaten anything. I'm drinking a butt load of water. But my appetite is null. Picking up my daughter from the airport shortly. Then me and my chicks will head out for dinner and picking out a fresh Christmas tree????I bought me 4 See's chocolate candies for later ????I want that more than dinner lol lol I've decided to rearrange my living and put out the Christmas festivities. That will keep my mind occupied.

    One more day

@@angewil60 Best wishes to you! I'm being sleeved on Wed ???? Hope you have a picture perfect surgery ????

A new me in 15 hours!

@@onmywaytoonederland SoOo glad to hear your doing pretty darn good. And your able to consume enough protein and fluids is just wonderful. I'm so happy for you ???? Kinda scary hearing about how long it took you to wake up. And the whole bp issue. But it still makes me feel a bit more at ease. A lot of people make it seem like the hiatal hernia. Along with the sleeve is more challenging/painful coming out of surgery. What's your thought?
