Post Op Day 2

I'm home but can I just say OMGEEEE! Last evening/night was rough. As Jerry said it hurt to get out of bed, walk, pee, talk, laugh (I'm a glggler so I had to practice restraint) I've read on here that day 2 was the worse because the anesthesia wears off and boy is that right! All through the night I had them give me pain meds back to back which made it more bareable.

I got home around 3pm exhausted because we all know we don't sleep in hospitals. I took a nap, showered (thank you Jesus for soap and water) I don't take such things for granted. Had some of my moms homemade chicken Soup (broth only) and a bit of Jello. Now I'll be doing some walking around the house and sipping Water.

Thye left a "feeding tube" in me just in case I can't get my water or Protein in I can feed myself through it. It lessens the nervous pressure to make sure you're not dehydrating.

Throughout all the pain I didn't have the buyers remorse I've heard others say they've had. One day at a time and so greatful for this new chance to be me. So glad to be home!
