Will an ear infection delay surgery?

I am scheduled for surgery on Wednesday, May 23rd and have just been diagnosed with an ear infection and placed on antibiotics for 10 days :sick Do you think they will delay the surgery for that? :faint:It took so long to get everything done.....:mad:

I don't think it will matter at all. They put us all on antibiotics as soon as we arrived in Mexico so I think you will be fine as long as you aren't running a fever or something. I would tell them what your taking but I think you will be fine. Good luck on your surgery.

Call your doc right away so they're aware, but I wouldn't think it would be a problem. I was diagnosed with a bladder infection 7 days before my surgery and I was fine

I'm sorry to hear about your ear infection. Hang in there!

I had an infection from one of my molars and I almost had to reschedule. I had an ER oral surgen remove the tooth, that was on Saturday and was able to have my LB on Friday (yesterday). I would deffinalty let the Dr. know.
