  • I ate the egg drop soup, hot-n-sour soup and chicken veg soup....so I'd say soup! : ) if you want actual food maybe a small serving of beef and broccoli?

Anything stir fried, light on the oil, no rice, light on the sauce will work. Tastes better, too.

  • Moo goo gai pan (chicken with vegetables in a white sauce) works for me too. And no rice, noodles, dumplings, spring/egg rolls, or fortune Cookies. (They're usually stale, anyway, right?)

@@bikrchk I was only able to eat a little

My favorite was wonton soup! I'm so over it now...but steamed shrimp or chicken and broccoli is good or they have mixed vegetables stir fried...I've always asked for steamed...they gave me so much veggies I had enough to last me a whole week.

My favorite is egg foo yong just don't smother with the gravy it's full of protein too ????

@nails21 I will try that next time

Most places will steam vegetables for you and you can ask for no MSG, salt etc. Chinese food is delish, but be careful as it is usually loaded with fat and salt. Well, which is why it taste so darn good.

@@Rogofulm I tried the Moo goo gai pan today I was only able to eat alittle

It gets easier. I find that anything in a sauce goes down easily. And I don't really worry about calories from the sauces. At 700-900 calories a day, we have room to spare so I don't think they'll hurt me too much.

if you look the various Chinese food dishes up for their caloric values you may find that even a small portion of something benign like chicken and Broccoli will be at or above that 700-900 mark for just the one meal.

Man, I've been dying for chinese.... Sesame chicken... But I can eat so little at a time, I know I would end up eating a little then wasting it. Maybe later down the road...

They usually have a heathy option with no sugar, no msg, etc. I LOVE Chinese food. I don't eat anything breaded or fried. Love crab rangoons, but that is what got me to a size 24. Now, I only do shrimp with snowpeas and skip the rice. 7months out for me,,,, I can usually eat about 5 shrimp.
