  1. I'm 4.5 months post op and I've been drinking since 3 months post op no issues my Dr said it was ok
  2. I had them for weeks post op due to hiatal hernia repair. I was given reglan, carafate and zantac to help calm down the spasms. I developed acid reflux really bad post op but now I'm 3 months out and I'm not taking any more meds ????????. Best wishes
  3. Mine got worse I have to take reflux meds daily now. I didn't have to pre sleeve. I was sleeved on Halloween
  4. I spoke with my Dr's office and was told wait at least 6 months post op
  5. Prior to being sleeved I used to get colonics twice a year. Is there anyone who has done this post sleeve? Any effects? I really want to have one especially with less bm's!
  6. I have PCOS and I keep my carbs under 40. I was sleeved on 10/31/14 I've lost over 55 lbs
  7. Use a whisk I used to love the chicken soup but you do have to blend well
  8. It took about 2 weeks and yes it was painful but not extremely painful. Kinda felt like a sting. Clean gauze was my best friend with tape.
  9. I had that issue when I had my breast reduction it's just old blood my surgeon checked it and advised to let it drain. I treated with warm compress to encourage draining and alternate with ice to reduce swelling. You'll be fine as long as you have no fever or odor at the site. Stay encouraged.
  10. The pain was very minimal I hardly took any of the pain meds

  12. My favorite is egg foo yong just don't smother with the gravy it's full of protein too ????
  13. I'm one month post op and by week 2 I was hungry but once I drank a protein shake or ate cream soup the hunger was gone.
  14. You're super lucky! I was sleeved on Halloween and I've had complications until week 3!
  15. I had the same problem post op. I had to have my nausea meds changed from zofran to phenergan and added zantac and a stomach coating solution carafate. I'm better everyday I was sleeved on Halloween. Good luck and call the Dr, I ended up on fluids for dehydration as well so please be careful.
  16. Halloween sleeved! I've not had a textbook recovery but it's getting better everyday. Pre-op wt 333 2 weeks post op wt 297 I'm 5'11" my Dr is thrilled with the numbers I can't wait to start feeling stronger
  17. I started wearing my shaper at 2 weeks post op and the support felt great and also reduced the abdominal pain from my stomach hanging down
  18. I had the same problem. I was sleeved on Halloween and I had to spit all day even woke me up at night. My Dr said it was not uncommon but he gave me Zantac for reflux and thank god it worked!
  19. caltrate vanilla calcium chews are delicious! They are super soft and dissolve really quick. I have the vitafusion B complex also they are gummy vitamins also very tasty.
  20. I'm 3 weeks post op and my surgery manual suggested the Flintstones with iron vitamins. They are disgusting! Are there any other vitamins out for bariatric sleeve patients that are not too hard to get down?
  21. I had my first post op visit today after being sleeved on Halloween and I'm amazed! I don't have a scale at home so I had no idea. My starting weight was 333lbs prior to starting my pre op diet and date of surgery 324lbs. Today I weighed in at 297lbs!!!! I'm loving my sleeve! It's been challenging eating and getting in protein but losing the weight has me super excited can't wait to weigh in next month! I posted as I see lots of people asking if anyone started over 300lbs so here's some inspiration good luck everyone!
  22. I've never liked sugar free anything! I've been adhering to my manual as given by my surgeon but I think the sugar free stuff tastes funny and makes me thirsty. Is there anyone who has not used any sugar free foods and sweeteners and had success?

  24. Ok so I'm a Halloween sleever so just about a week post op and I can't drink anything unless it's heated like it has to be warmed up! Has anyone else had this issue and did it change? I really want to eat a popsicle lol!
