Still Left Out

I'm just curious as to why no one will communicate with me on this forum. I joined back in September and the only way anyone will respond to anything I say is if I directly send them a personal message. I even contacted the moderator to find out if everyone can see my postings...apparently they can.

I stopped posting for awhile and just kept up with everything and then started back posting and still no one responds to me. They will reply to posts after me but never to me. I thought for sure when I posted today that I had a surgery date that someone would at least offer a congratulations...but no. They did however offer congratulations and support to others in the similar situation and after mine.

I'm not looking for any sympathy, I don't know what I want, I guess I just thought that I would receive some support. From now on I guess I'll just keep up with everyone's progress and new information.

I had tried posting more...didn't work. I know you have to have a subject that others find interesting and I guess I got really discouraged when I announced I had my surgery date and nada.

How are you and your wife doing?

Sheree,

i've checked out your other posts and there have been replies to all of them. not sure where you are looking for replies, but they are there. :)

Chickie, I think you have a few more fans on this board than you think. You and Puddin are my inspiration. Seeing both of your before and after pics gives me hope that I can achieve my goal. It got me up off the couch and running and out of the house on my bike. I have been working my butt off to get to where you guys are. You had such an amazing transformation and seeing the pictures and reading the stories I know I can be there too some day.

I survived on apple juice and chic broth the first weeks. Boy, the next 2 weeks cream soups tasted so good. Where r u getting the surgery done? I'm excited for you. I'm a slow loser, I had the surgery in Mexico in Nov 06. I'm only down 30 lbs but I'm fine with that. Good Luck to you . Keep us posted.................Kelley

Kjojojr- what day was your band date.. mine was 11/28/06.. I've only lost 32lbs.... this is a little slow for me.. I'm wanting it to be a little faster~ how about you?

I think a lot of the new threads are being pushed down the board too quickly by the regular "chat" threads (i.e. Banded Bikers, Bootcamp, Twoterville and Onederland, Gay & Lesbian, etc.). Maybe there needs to be a place for these groups to talk regularly. I know they started as regular threads at one time, but now they've taken over the first page of the support page. JHMO.

Derbygirl,

I'd actually had the same thought and think it's a great suggestion that would benefit all (including those on group chat trying to find their threads). Would you feel like raising the point to a moderator?

We know you and for the right reasons - you are one of us!!!!!!

Congrats on the surgery date, learn all you can from the experienced ones and then make up your mind to just do it!

The band doesn't cure us from our weight related issues, but I sure wouldn't want to lose mine!

Yes! :clap2:

I'm skipping 2 pages of posts just to say.........

HELLO THERE! I mainly post on the shrinking violets thread in the general discussion boards........ COME ON OVER WE ARE A BUNCH OF BIGMOUTHS! LOL

I think the main this is to just jump in and post....... I will admit that before surgery I DEVOURED each and every thread, and now that I'm IN IT I don't as much....

I just had my first fill on Monday June 4, so thats where I am in my journey...

and CHICKIE.................. I do like your posts and your pics are SOOOOO inspirational, but I don't like exercise, BUT I KNOW I WILL LEARN TO LIKE IT EVENTUALLY LOL

My advice to all people in this same situation.. is just to POST, POST, POST!

Tracy, I LOVE your signature pics...very cool. How did you do it? I wish I could see everyone's progress on their posts. You look great!

Reeburgdon,

I am sorry you haven't gotten any responses. This is a good place to get support. Many times I don't post but do read what others have posted. I think a lot of people do that.

There are some great folks on here and I'm sure you will meet some of them.:(

Congrats on your surgery date!:clap2: I know how excited I was when I was scheduled! Good luck to you & keep me posted!:)
