I am almost 2 weeks post op and I am also still trying to learn my body's signals. From what I have read and understand, the nerves in our stomachs are also traumatized from surgery and aren't reliable yet. Your best bet is to only eat the amounts your surgeons office says to ( ie 1/8 cup) until you learn your body and your body becomes reliable. It is a learning process. Congrats on your surgery and keep up the good work!

That makes sense! Tonight I had some broth and probably ate a little too much. I keep having this pain..not bad just very uncomfortable.

Any idea how long it takes fir those nerves to wake up?

I'm 9 weeks out and feel full after a few bites of anything. Which works out great since I've lost 49 pounds since Sept 15th :-) but if I eat one or two bites too much I get a horrible stabbing pain from my tummy up to my shoulder, kind of like the gas pain after surgery. I think everyone is different but your body will acclimate soon. Keep up the good work!

This helps me a lot too! I'm so afraid that I'll mess up!
