Scale isn't moving

Hey everyone, I had the gastric sleeve on the 6th October so I'm 5 weeks out. First 3 weeks I lost 15lbs but over these last 2 weeks, nothing has been happening, I know this does happen but I just didn't think it would be this early and also, I feel like I'm a really slow looser.

I'm proud that I've lost weight but also slightly depressed that it's fluctuated the last 2 weeks :(

Any advice would be really appreciated.

I just put up a topic because I was sleeved on Oct 6th too and I've lost only 21 lbs. I don't eat sweets and crap but the scale isn't moving. I don't get it and I'm really frustrated.

Congratulations! You have reached The Dreaded Week-3 Stall. It's perfectly normal, and just about all of us have suffered through it. You're not crazy, and your doctor didn't screw up. In fact, you might not lose any weight for two weeks or even longer. But don't worry – after that, the weight will start falling off if you stick to your program. And, the inches continue to come off even while the scale isn't budging. If you're interested, here's a good article that explains why it happens and why we all have to go through it. Hang in there. Pretty soon it'll be in the rear-view mirror and you'll be dropping weight again like crazy!

(Apologies to BP regulars who have seen this repeatedly, but it's a big deal to those who are going through it!)
