Port pain

I was wondering if anyone else has had a burning pain where the port is. I had my band installed :) on Thursday and that is the biggest problem.

Hi Laboj,

I had very bad port pain and still do occasionally. I am seven weeks post op now and it definitely gets much better. Congratulations on your new way of life :)

You should be, it is a very exciting time.

I lost really quickly in the beginning then it stopped. I have had two fills and I am starting to feel the restriction again. I am sure my weight will start to come off again soon. If it happens to you please don't give up or feel sad. Just exercise and keep going.

We can be on this long but happy road together.

Try putting an ice pack on the port site. It will help with the pain and swelling in that area. Good luck to the both of you!!

No I started exercising after one month, the Dr wouldn't let me before. I was off work for four days lol. Didn't tell anyone in work and had to hide the discomfort when I got back. It worked though, none of them know and that's the best feeling ever LOL :)

lol thanks Laboj. You are strong too keep at it :)

I'm 2 1/2 weeks post op and the port pain has subsided. It was pretty painful the first week for me too but now I can lay on my stomach and don't feel a thing. Hang in there!
