Best of luck! My dogs sleep with me every night (it is a horrible habit I cannot seem to break but they keep me so warm) and they don't like my gurgling belly very much. :) They may not like it but they don't mind the extra long walks every day that they have been getting.

Puppy therapy helps the healing. My brother brought my fur neices over today and that made me so happy!!! The left side pain is so intense sometimes...like "things" are moving around inside!!!!!

Congrats on joining the loser's bench. I can still remember all the growling and churning Frankensleeve did that 1st week post-op. It does go away... slowly. B)

I'm 7days post-op and I'm feeling okay, able to get fluids down fairly well. Though, if I stand or walk for more than 10 min, I get a pain in my belly on the side of the largest incision area, and I have to sit down. It's not a topical pain near the incision site, it feels like something is pulling inside. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, will this go away soon?

Yes! Exactly! I hope this goes away soon so I can begin exercising. Also, getting in and out of bed has been quite a challenge. The couch is where I've been spending most of my nights :(

Clautxs, thank you for asking. I feel slightly better, but, when I don't take any pain meds, I still hurt a lot. I'm definitely sleeping better. I hope this gets better soon. I'd love to get out and walk more.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
