Blue Cross Blue Shield (georgia)

HELLO ALL, I JUST WANTED TO LET EVERY ONE KNOW WHAT MY INSURANCE REQUIRES. THE NURSE FROM THE SURGEONS OFFICE CALLED ME AND INFORMED ME THAT ALL I NEED TO SUBMIT PAPERS TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY IS A LETTER FROM MY PHYSCIAN.(GOT IT) THEN I NEED A psychological assessment and a meeting with our dietician for an evaluation. MY APPOINTMENT WITH THE SURGEON IS MAY 24. I AM SO EXCITED, BUT THEN I DONT WANNA GET MY HOPES UP. THEY MIGHT DENIE IT.

So When Are U Gonna Be Banded

Hi Melissa! I have BCBS of Georgia, too. I am hoping everything will be turned into my insurance by the end of next week. I was very surprised that they did not require 6-12 months of physician surpervised diet documentation. I am from Iowa, and have found that BCBS of Iowa requires a lot more than Georgia does. Hopefully I will be approved. I'll let ya know what I hear.

Good luck to you!

You are so fortunate they cover it. BC/BS of Florida does not cover it yet. They stink, lol. Anyways, congrats and let us know how things progress.
