Mix Things up with Spin Class?

I'm 10 months out and have met my goal but would like to lose another 5 - 10 pounds.

I work out pretty hard in my basement 6 days a week. I have lots of good equipment and it's been convenient exercising at home with my busy restrictive schedule, but I think I need to vary my routine to get my weight loss moving again.

I was going to buy an exercise bike but am thinking of joining a local gym that has lots of spin classes instead. The group setting might get me moving more than just peddling alone in my basement.

Recommendations?

I know I like spinning classes though, so maybe try a few out at your local gym to see if you even like them first. They're a good workout!

Muscle Confusion is recommended by body trainers to blast through plateaus. It's all about not doing the same thing everyday, or even during one exercise session. Keep the muscles confused (rather than 'muscle-memory, i.e.; muscles knowing how and when they'll be worked) for better results

That is something I'm not doing and should be doing. I'm exercising quite a bit but going the same things over and over.

Time to mix it up ... Just trying to decide between buying a spin bike for home and joining a class.

My gym has so many spin classes. It's insane. It's gotta work since it's super popular, right? It also has a crap ton of zumba as well.
