Can my FB friends see if I belong to that group? If so I don't want to join. I just don't want my surgery broadcasted.

Having trouble locating you. Please send me a friend request and I'll add you. Thanks! :) Vanessa Goodale Heyde

Hello All,

My surgery date is Nov 10th. Started my pre-op liquid diet today...so far so good, early in the game so I'm not sure how I'll feel later when the family is having dinner and I am not.

How do you all cope with that? When the rest of the family is eating and your not?

Kymcakes...I am Nov 10th as well. Day 1 kicked my butt. I got sweaty and shaky around noon, had consumed 400 calories. I tried getting a protein shake in then but it didn't seem to kick in. Learned I need the jello, yogurt, pudding hitting my stomach to help. I'm going to concentrate on the 10 - 12:00 hours to get more protein in. Dinner....I slept through it! This 1000 calorie max is leaving me very tired!

Mine is11/6 and I live in Alabama.

Im scheduled for November 11th. I started this whole process in June and I am super excited that the date has finally been set. I have a couple more appt. to attend prior to my surgery. One y history and physical and one with the dietitian to go over pre-op and post-op diet. Did I mention that I am super excited. I cant wait to see the new me.

Teensibaby - I am November 10th. Very similar, had my first surgeon appt in June/July-ish and all has just sailed from there. Have you started the pre-op diet yet? My surgeon requires a 2 week liquid diet, I'm on Day 6. REALLY shocked at how well it works and how quickly the body adjusts. Good luck to you, I'm just a day ahead.

I stopped having a facebook account some months ago because it would distract me. Have created a brand new account to be able to be part of the group. I really need all the support. I am very scared. My date is Nov 28th. Please add me to the group, I have sent a request to join.

Thanks much

Nov 14th, coming up soon

Update....

I had my 1week post-op today. Feeling good, Dr said everything looks good. I've lost 12 pounds since starting the pre-op diet. He cleared me to move to the puréed stage; scrambled egg, cottage cheese, very thin sliced deli meat, banana. Can't wait. Sick of broth, pudding and yogurt. Still get tired easily, Dr said it can take 4-6 weeks to get your energy back. However, I can say that I feel like I've turned a corner and am feeling pretty damn good.

I had surgery Nov 13 th 4 days post op, every day gets a little easier but have high and lows each day. See the Dr tomorrow

I get sleeved November 20th and i am excited and scared at the same time! wish me luck and good luck to all pre-op and post-op sleevers... :)
