I had gastric bypass almost three weeks ago and I have not been on birth control due to not being sexually active in a very long time..

well a old friend came over friday and we slept together.. Unfortunately the condom broke and so on SAT i took PLAN B.

do you know if it is still effective.. ??? i didn't vomit it up. So im hoping it absorbed

If you didn't throw up it should be fine. It should absorb the same in the stomach and small intestines. Take a test in a few weeks to be sure, plan b does have a very small failure rate.

Hopefully for your sake it does... I was taking my birth control pills at surgery time and after and 5 days after my surgery I got my period like I would have if I stopped taking the pill - it was like it wasn't realizing I had birth control in my system at all.

However, Plan B is considerably stronger of a medication so fingers crossed for you. :-)
