6 weeks post op

Went to my appointment yesterday ... Down 36... Total 49 with preop. Was 307... Now 258. I was put on solid foods .. ( I was going to say whole foods) lol. Now I am nervous about eating... I know I have to chew chew chew... For example I am dying for a salad and the NUT said go ahead

... Can lettuce get caught in my sleeve? Alyce

Salad was safe for me around that point too, but my Nut actually advises against it unless you put some protein with it like cheese or deli meat. The lettuce has no nutritional value and will take up space that you need to be filling with protein. My suggestion is to make yourself about two or three bites worth and then enjoy some grilled chicken or something of the like with it. =) best wishes
