Bandage Allergy?

I have an allergy to the adhesive used in the bandages. They used some type of glue to close my incisions, and I did just fine with that. My problem was with the IV, all of the blood draws, etc. S

It is one thing to ask but another that all staff follow through. That was my big problem.

I am allergic to medical tapes and bandages. They create huge, red welts which usually end up being worse than whatever I'm trying to cover up. I've tried several different kinds and when I had a biopsy in 2011, I was told the tape they used would not cause a reaction and it did. Anyone else have a bandage allergy but do okay with what they use to put over the incisions for your bariatric surgery?
