BCBS MI

So I'm still waiting to hear back from my insurance company which is blue cross of Michigan (PPO) ... Anyone have a hard time getting approved with this insurance?

I also have BCBS of MI. How long since you submitted? My case was just submitted yesterday & I'm ready to start bugging them already.

Good luck to you!

Well I'm seeing my surgeon next week and he will submit it after my visit ... I'm just so impatient lol... I'm hoping that it gets approved quickly so that I can schedule for the first week of November! When are you planning on surgery?

Have you heard anything on BCBS denials? My doctor said she only had one case and it was because the woman was borderline obese by her bmi with no comorbidities

I have not heard much on denials, I'm in SC and have BCBS MI (my hubby works for an out of state contractor), so my Dr's office hasn't had much dealings with them specifically. I've been scheduled for Nov. 10th.

I've read my specific requirements very thoroughly & we've checked off everything before we submitted - so hoping this will be a quick and easy approval. Fingers crossed for you too! :)

I have BC/BS MI PPO and saw my surgeon last Tuesday and they scheduled my surgery for Oct 9. They sent in my insurance papers after the apt, and I had call yesterday from their office telling me what my co-pay would be. I asked her if I was approved and she said "of course," like why wouldn't I be. I was surprised because I thought that someone would call and tell me that I was approved.

Well I guess I can vouch for their speed now too! I just got my phone call! YAY! 3 days is all it took! Can't wait for Nov. 10th! :D :D :D
