Day One Post Op...Swallowing Pills

My doctor prescribed me pain pills that are kind of big and oblong. Am I going to have problems swallowing these? Has anyone else been given these one day post op? I'm kind of scared to take them.

    I was given pain pills after surgery. If they are too big can you cut them in half? Check with your doctor first.

    My surgeon prescribes liquid pain medicine. You could always ask if they can prescribe that instead.

    Now why would he do that? The whole time I was in the hospital they crushed my pills. Its hard enough for us to get food down, how much so big pills? I would call and ask for a liquid form
