Hunger

Had my sleeve surgery on 9/3/14. I am surprised that I feel hungry. Or at least I think it's hunger. It may be stomach spasms. Anyone else experience this? If so, what helps?

  • Could be spasms or acid. Did your doctor give you an acid reducer? I took Prevacid and Carafate for one month post op to help the healing, soothe the irritation, etc.

I don't think I'm "really" hungry. I think I just want to eat! I miss tasting& chewing. I was sleeved on the 28th of August. I went back to work this past Monday after 1week of surgery& I feel SUPER WEAK. I'm struggling with getting enough protein down. I can only hold 4oz at a time so that's half of my 25g protein drink. I would have to only drink that all day to get the 40-50g I need.

Ugh!

I understand. I finally got my energy back but still might take a nap during the day. I am in the pureed stages but I haven't eaten meats yet. Don't think I can do that. I can't wait to get to the soft foods stage. i just keep doing my protein drinks, yogurts and i might one small meal.
