5 days post op - Feeling full all the time

I had my sleeve done last Weds. For the most part I'm feeling better. Still very lethargic and sore. I don't like taking the pain medication except when going to bed. Adjusting to my new stomach size. This morning I had a small thing of jello and ate it super slow and now I'm full. I was finally able to drink a 6 oz protein shake yesterday and it took me 3 hours to get that down because I felt so full. I'm hoping that will get better as my stomach heals, right? Any suggestions on what I can do to get my liquids in?

Try to drink one ounce every 15 minutes. Sip it slowly over the entire 15 minutes. That's how I got my fluids and Protein drinks down the first couple of weeks. Fluids are even more important that protein at first. I've seen many people wind up in the ER for dehydration.

It does get better. Commit to the time and effort to heal yourself and get a good start on your postop life. You are worth it!
