Drinking question

Do I still need to stop drinking a half hour before & after in drink my protein shakes? Or can I keep drinking since it's not "food"?

This would make my timing issues with getting in all my food a lot easier. Any suggestions?

I asked my nutri that when I had my final pre-op visit with her. She told me as it's all liquid, I don't have to worry about it until I begin the mushy/puree stage.
