They screwed up my date!

I booked with Dr Ramos-Kelly after reading many good reviews about him and his staff. I had the surgery scheduled for monday august 18th. I signed the contract which said the procedure date was aug 18. I wanted to spend a few days in San Diego before the surgery so the flight information I forwarded said I was arriving Friday aug 15. But I made it perfectly clear that I was to be picked on Monday. So Yesterday I get an email confirming that my surgery is booked for Friday! HUH! Attached to the email was even an incorrect hotel booking confirmation. Hopefully they can fix this and i don't have to cancel my plans in San Diego.

Another thing that doesn't give me confidence is that they sprung a hidden charge on me. The email said I had to buy an insurance policy. This is the first im hearing of this.

Im going through enough of an emotional rollercoaster with the pre-op liquid diet, i don't want to have to deal with this crap.

James,

It will all be worth it. I am actually self pay and to my surprise, I got to pay an additional 400.00 for medications upon discharge from the hospital for blood thinners, anti nausea, and pain meds. No one mentioned this extra cost but it is something we have to do for ourselves. I would look in to this insurance stuff and find the cheapest option if it is something your doctor really requires. Honestly, I have never heard of that before though.

Also, awesome work on the liquid diet. I see your progress =) That part is actually one of the hardest. Believe it or not, after surg. you will want those nasty Protein drinks again when you are on Clear liquids for a few days.

I hope they get your date resolved. Keep us posted.
