Ok so, today is the day. My 10 day liquid diet starts today. I'm looking forward to it because I've prepared myself and looked at all the wonderful progress everyone is making here and I'm ready to be part of it.

Starting mine today too! I am almost done reading the book Unbroken which is about the horrific experiences of a WWII soldier who is a castaway and later Japanese POW. He lost half his weight due to extreme starvation...down to 60+ lbs at one point. Reading it has put me in a mindset where I am feeling pretty full most of the time.

Hey everyone, just returned from the supermarket. I bought everything I need to start my 10 day liquid diet on September 1st. For breakfast: chocolate protein shake with a banana (blended together). Morning snack plain yogurt. Lunch: chicken veggie soup (blended to make it smooth). Snack: pudding. Dinner: same as lunch. Night snack pudding. That's it! I drink water with a little bit of Crystal light. I'm happy I got my diet approved because so far I really like eating everything I'm going to have for the next 10 days. dde06

This is it! Very exciting time for you. Good luck with your surgery and keep us pre-ops informed about how it goes if you want. We appreciate hearing your stories.

My diet starts today too! My mind is already messing me saying I'm hungry when I know I'm not! Haha Good luck and I look forward to keeping up with your journey (:

So I'm kind of confused I got my protein shakes and I'm about to go buy my veggies for the 2 week prediet...but I'm reading and it seems everyone has different ones. Now would if I add like a banana or pudding here and there is that going to be bad? I'm just nervous I'm going to do something wrong.

Everyone plan Is different my nutritionist actually gave me a meal plan to follow.

And I can have pudding and Jello If I want to I switch It up I had Greek yogurt today. And I'll have a sugar free jello or pudding tomorrow.

But no bananas though I can't have that. But If your surgeon or nutritionist didn't say that you couldn't have them I don't see why not.

Yes everyone is different. My two week consist of meal protein replacement shakes 4 times a day plus any clear liquids. I will have jello, chicken broth, sugar free popscicles , water, crystal light

Hi, I am having VSG on Sept. 17th in Goshen, IN. I start my pre-op diet on Wed. I am freaking out a little. I was at the store today getting things for pre op diet and it hit me. While I was standing there holding a bag of broccoli. It was my OMG! moment. I looked over at my husband and freaked out a bit. I am so excited for this new journey, but surgery is the scary part for me. Has anyone else had a freak out?

yes! I had a freak out this morning. I was like yes the day is here then I said carp the day is here. But I said to myself that I can do this no matter what! ????

thank you. I wish you so much luck and success!

My surgery is September 8th and I start my pre op diet tomorrow which is only clear liquids. I am actually more nervous about having only clear liquids for the next 5 days vs the actual surgery!

Day two and I am really craving sushi! I'm trying to drink as much water as I can to keep my belly full. ????

Cassia

I started mine today. I feel short on the shakes . My doctor wants 5 per day. I have only done two and working on a third one. I also had chicken broth. Click fil a has the best chicken soup and they will sell you only broth if you did not make your own or tired of can soup broth. I had lots of water and will have jello later today.

I am sooo shocked that doctors are okay with chicken broth.... Even low sodium has a ton of sodium.
