Does anyone regret it?

Hey guys, I'm still in the beginning stages of this journey (I hope it's ok I jumped over here and am asking this question) I keep going back and forth whether or not this is the right decision for me. I am almost 100% positive it is, but in the back of my head, I wonder if I'll regret this decision. I know that my love for food got me to where I am today but I whimper at the thought of going on vacation and not being able to eat "good" (fat!) I'm also scared because I know there's a high divorce rate after the surgery and I already resent my husband at times when I'm on diets and he's eating pizza or god knows what else. Any advice? Has ANYONE regretted their decision to get the surgery? Thanks guys!

food was like the bad boyfriend...he drew you in, but really did not make life better. He lied and chested and made you feel like crap. Click on my profile to see my transformation ... excess food

  • I sometimes miss food, he was my best friend! But then I look in the mirror and see the 80lb transformation four months later, the absence of discrimination, and wearing clothes I've saved for 10 year

  • i have had pretty much no regrets either. going to my uncle's pizza place last night, and not being able to order his famous stromboli was HARD, but i know that maybe eventually down the road it will

I am still in the regret stage. It's not total regret, just partial. It's been 8 weeks and I still don't feel well. My sleeve doesn't like a lot of solid food. My energy level is low. A lot of days my tummy hurts all day long. I'm on a lot of different meds for my tummy pain and gastritis. Yet, I was out of options so that is why the choice for surgery was made. The weight loss is nice.
