My journey

My name is Lawanda. I am 19 months in. I began my journey weighing in at 467 lbs. I now weigh 235. My life began December 11, 2012. I was taking several medications. I now only take my daily vitamins. I am up every morning by 5 am. Out my door by 6 am. I am walking 4 to 5 miles 5 days a week. I think of my surgery as a blessing from God. Thankful, thst he chose me with this amazing gift.

I praise God when I reach your point. The main reason I wanted this surgery was so I could walk again. My knees and joints have worn out carry around all of this weight. I have not been to the mall in about seven years (which is not always a bad thing). I just want to be able to walk and go places with my kids and grandkids......just enjoy life.

That is fantastic, Lawanda. Congrats! You are an inspiration to the rest of us! :)

Wow that's amazing :)
