Protein and supplements

Hello I am having my surgery on Sep 4 but I'm doing it in Colombia and I was just wondering what Protein products or supplements do you recommend I want to take them from here since I might have more options and it might be cheaper. Any recommendations? Also how do you take them how often and what is needed (Iron, b-12...) and what amount of protein.

Thank you for your help

Your goal should be at least 60 grams of Protein (for women) per day. That being said, many on this site have said it takes a while to get there. 100% Protein isolate is the ideal because they are the most absorbable. You'll see a lot with protein concentrate, or different kinds of protein combinations. Some you may not absorb at all. Do a search on this site for those that do you no good. Some brands that come to mind for being made of protein isolate and good taste are powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury, Isopure and Syntrax nectar [There is a current sale on samples.].

My NUT recommended BariatricAdvantage, or using their ingredients list to compare which other Vitamins you are considering.

Should I start eking the proteins and vitamins right away or how long after the surgery?

I plan to take them as soon as possible after surgery. That is the understanding I got from my NUT.

Should I start eking the proteins and vitamins right away or how long after the surgery?

For the liquid stage, my nutritionist said one serving of protein was enough. And I should start supplements on stage two - purée. I guess you could just ask your doctor or nutritionist. When I asked my doc post surgery he said to wait until I had the post op visit and met with their nutritionist before I take any supplements. That's on Monday.
