Gas and explosive diarrhea ????

Was banded May 6, 2014. I have done well except for the gas and explosive diarrhea that I get about once or twice a week. That's really all I go to the bathroom. Is there anything you can do to prevent this?

I didn't have any gas pains I was lucky there, but I did have diarrhea at times, I merely had to be careful what I was eating...changing ur intake sometimes makes this happen...are u eating ur protein first...and nothing else while u eat that...that was the only thing that stopped my diarrhea. Hope that helps sweetie-hope u can figure it out...if it goes on too long u need to contact ur doctor okay?

I just went through the same thing with the explosive diarrhea and gas. It was awful! Anyway, yesterday ALL DAY, I did not have anything solid to eat. I had chicken broth, tea and sugar free jello. I also took Pepto Bismol eventhough it contains a salyciate (spelling?), so if you're allergic to aspirin try Imodium extra strength. It took 24 hours but today I had toast and tea. At lunch I had toast with almond butter and tea. I'm feeling much better now. Btw, I'm coffee addict and when I get bouts like that I don't touch coffee. I'm looking forward to a cup tomorrow morning. I drink two cups in the morning.

Thanks guys! I haven't had any gas pains, so to speak. I just have to fart (pardon the expression!) a lot. When I exercise is when it is the worst!

I have the same problem
