  1. I currently have a Lap Band and I just can’t take it anymore. I have stuck episodes to the point I pass out. I have gained 25 lbs in less than 6 months. It just isn’t working for me anymore. I have been approved for a revision to a sleeve. I’m wondering if anyone has any advice on Dr. Mario Almanza. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hey guys! I’m looking for the best self pay surgeon for a band to sleeve revision. I am seriously considering Mexico because I’m not rich. But this thing HAS to go!

    Loss of motivation

I think seriously that my work burnout is causing the exercise motivation loss. Thanks!
  9. Hey guys! I need some help with motivation. I was doing so well with exercising and then I went on vacation and when I got back..........my motivation stayed there! Any suggestions? It might sound like excuses but my work schedule has caused some work-out dampers and I'm trying to overcome those. But I have just lost interest. I have done new things. I have bought new workout videos. Just losing it! Help me please!!!!!

    Loss of motivation

Thanks guys. I think it's just I'm having LOOOONNNGGGG days at work and I'm exhausted. I get up at 5 and go to work. Get home at 930 and 1000 at night and when I exercise I'm wide awake. I can't MAKE myself get up any earlier and exercise because I'm so tired and because my "gym" is in my basement and it's one big room and my kids sleep down there. I'm going to push myself and MAKE it happen. No more excuses. I have a new chair at work ordered and that should help with my back hurting and I will just have to suffer through the tiredness. Thanks!!!
  11. I got some at my local GNC store. Not bad.

    Not enough protein?

Can someone tell me, besides losing hair, what are some of the symptoms of not enough protein? I struggle to get mine in because the higher the protein content, the more nauseous I get. My band only has 3cc in it and I'm not very restricted yet. However I can't seem to get much protein. Anyone else have this problem? I was banded May 6th.

    Not enough protein?

I'm not vegan. It's just the protein shakes and bars nauseate me. I eat meat but I know I'm not getting what my dr told me.

Could this be considered a band bully

I think you were not out of line at all. My thinking is that people think their method is the best. Territorial I suppose. Yes, we lose weight at a slower pace but we keep it off better. At least that's what I'm told. The slower the loss the longer the results. This, I'm sure, does apply with all of us with the tools as well as those who don't. No matter which route we decided to go or which one our physicians recommended, we are all in this together and should be supporting the weight loss journeys - NOT the tools!
  15. Was banded May 6, 2014. I have done well except for the gas and explosive diarrhea that I get about once or twice a week. That's really all I go to the bathroom. Is there anything you can do to prevent this?
  16. Thanks guys! I haven't had any gas pains, so to speak. I just have to fart (pardon the expression!) a lot. When I exercise is when it is the worst!
